Las armaduras de intercambio operadas manualmente permiten el montaje y desmontaje del sensor bajo condiciones de proceso, es decir, el circuito o caudal principal correspondiente no tiene que ser interrumpido. Las principales aplicaciones de la armadura de intercambio son mediciones de pH en circuitos cerrados o mediciones en la entrada o bien en la salida de instalaciones de aguas residuales. La armadura también se puede montar lateralmente en depósitos – la extracción de los sensores se puede realizar sin tener que vaciar previamente el deposito. La armadura permite el montaje de un sensor con rosca Pg 13,5 y una longitud de inmersión de 120 o bien 225mm. .
